The aim of this guide is to present in a concise and inexpensive form basic information on the growing of these popular orchids. Because most growers in this country have not had the opportunity of seeing these plants growing in their natural habitats, and without the availability of a major orchid herbarium or specialist orchid institution, extensive use is made of published material. This material is acknowledged in the text. It is believed that this guide provides a significant source of cultural information in particular that will no be readily available to most growers, and as a consequence will provide much data for the successful culture of these popular and wonderful orchids.
