If you are now growing phalaenopsis or are thinking about growing them, this book is for you. It is intended as sort of a volksbüch for non-scientists and, to that end, is expressed in non-threatening, user-friendly language. The objective is to take some of the mystery out of growing phals and allow the grower to enjoy the flowers without having to make them a career.
It is not a scientific treatise, but on these pages the reader will find some practical guidance in phalaenopsis culture directed toward getting him or her through the three stages of orchid learning. These are: first, keeping the plants alive; second, getting them to bloom and; third, getting them to bloom well.
