Now that this volume on the Australasian Families has been added to the previous three volume set, nearly all orchids that are grown in the Southern Hemisphere (and many of the Northern hemisphere too) have been described and pictured in colour.
This new volume, as with the previous ones, gives full details on potting materials, fertilizers, propagation, and the use of glasshouses as they concern the orchids described. The care and attention needed and how to protect them from pests, diseases and predators are fully explained.
Specific contents items of the Australasian Families include: the terrestrial orchids, Australian epiphytic orchids and associate families.
